Many pre-school children experience difficulties in linguistic communication, and later also in reading. The complexity in decoding the written text is often a huge obstacle for them that can easily lead to frustration.
Our collection of fairytales will be illustrated with the system of pictograms and symbols applied during the protocols of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). The AAC was founded in 1983 in the USA with the creation of the ISAAC (International Society for Augmentative Alternative Communication).
Children with this type of difficulty are generally suffering from cerebral palsy, from down syndrome or autism. The books that we are proposing are also designed to meet the sensory needs that many of these children develop.
MutatuM Publishing intends to devote time and energy to help children who dream and rejoice just like other children, but who have difficulties communicating these feelings.
We want to produce books that are pleasing to the eye, robust and easy to handle, so that our children feel close and simple, just as they should be when reading a book.
At MutatuM Publishing autism is not just an abstract term, it is something we are familiar with, and dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to. This particular sector of our publishing project is carried out by the busy mum of a very special child.
